As reported, Google online storage Google Drive may be officially launched in early April.
The past five years, there have been rumors that Google will launch Google Drive. In 2010, Google allowed users to upload files to Google Docs, but not launched Google Drive. Until this February, Wall Street Journal said Google will launch Google Drive again.
According to sources, Google Drive will launch local client and web versions, the interface of the latter similar to Google Docs. Additionally, Google will open API interface to a third party, which allows people to store content from other apps to Google Drive.
After the launch of Google Drive, Google has to compete with Dropbox, the online storage industry giant, as well as its rival Microsoft with its SkyDrive. This time, Google Drive will provide 1G free space and gradually increase later, while Dropbox provides 2G and SkyDrive up to 25GB.

Inspired by an awesome talk by Vanessa Fox, Max Thomas and Marty Weintraub at SMX East (the one that took the Internet by storm), we’d like to continue the SEO reporting topic and investigate into what makes a solid modern-day SEO report.
Gone are the days when rankings were the only report filed by SEO’s. The industry has matured and clients have gotten much more SEO-savvy, which calls for some new standards in SEO reporting.
In this respect, what’s important to understand is that whether running an online or an offline business, marketing executives and business owners always keep track of at least one financial indicator – profit. In a very simplistic decision-making model, a manager would make decisions based on what impact they have on the profit. Thus, there should be proper reporting mechanisms in place that help one determine if certain steps are going to generate loss or yield extra revenue.
In economics, profit is revenue minus cost. For an online business this basically means:
Getting more quality traffic →
at lower cost, and →
converting this traffic into sales.
This can be applied to any traffic channel: paid advertising, email marketing, SEO, etc. Tracking paid ad channels is simple: for every dollar you spend you get N visits and a pretty stable amount of conversions. However, when it comes to SEO, things get tricky, because:
- It’s a complex Internet marketing technique that includes many activities. Each activity has its own set of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- SEO is not an exact science. Apart from some “best practices” articulated by search evangelists, there are no uniform proven manuals or “how to” guides.
- As a result, there are a lot of SEO myths. SEO marketers will always use these myths to their advantage. When they underperform, they blame the “Google dance”, “Panda update”, etc.

So many people are asking yourself, today more than ever before, how to earn money online. Initially when I first started looking at how to earn money online making I desired to nderstand how to help to make money fast and how to help to make money simple. There’s a lot regarding junk on the web however, and my personal first words of advice is actually to do your research around the product or business you want to use to get rid of the frauds. Is someone else is offering the “get rich quick” structure, I might be wary of the provide. In order to help make money quick and help to make money simple you will need to realize how to earn money online along with Yahoo advertising and how to use web 2.0 attributes and also how to generate landing pages.
How to earn money online can be an individual question you’ll need to think about. Initially you have to have products or services to promote. THis can be your personal product/service or you can do something referred to as affiliate marketing online. Affiliate marketing is a good aproach to earn money online if you do not have got your personal product/service. Affiliate marketing online is a ctually marketing a person’s product/service online and receiving a percentage for that selling.

The founders of Craigslist, eBay, Google, Twitter, Yahoo! and other Internet giants expressed concern to the United States Congress on Wednesday over legislation intended to crack down on online piracy.
The Stop Online Piracy Act has received some bipartisan support in the House of Representatives and is the House version of a bill introduced in the Senate known as the Theft of Intellectual Property Act, or Protect IP Act.
The legislation has received the backing of Hollywood, the music industry, the Business Software Alliance, the National Association of Manufacturers, the US Chamber of Commerce and other groups.
But it has come under fire from digital rights and free speech organisations for allegedly paving the way for US authorities to shut down websites, including foreign sites, without due process and threatening the architecture of the Web.

Oracle has chosen not to comment on an alleged hack of MySQL.com – the site that has been smashed by cyber criminals on two occasions already this year.
A hacker going by the pseudonym D35M0ND142 posted information on Pastebin, claiming it came from, somewhat ironically, a MySQL.com database.
D35M0ND142 suggested the website owners had not fixed the site following two serious hack attacks this year. Oracle told IT Pro it had no comment on the matter.
Data included in the Pastebin post appeared to feature usernames, emails and passwords of various MySQL.com users. This purportedly included login details of Robin Schumacher, MySQL’s director of product management.
Luis Corrons, technical director of PandaLabs, said it looked like the information could be real.
"This is one of the biggest problems we are facing nowadays: there are a number of online services we use, we have to register to get access to them and most of the users have the bad habit to reuse the password everywhere," Corrons told IT Pro.
"What is worse, in most of these services you have to give an email address, so if someone gets access to the database where all this information is stored you could have your email account hacked.

Call it the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup 2.0 of online programmer protests. "Occupy Flash" is blending the high visibility of the Occupy Wall Street movement with ongoing disgruntlement over Adobe’s Flash multimedia platform to create a two-great-tastes-that-taste-great-together brand of social momentum to move everybody over to HTML 5 once and for all.
Last week, Adobe officially pulled the plug on Flash development for mobile devices. That move was widely seen as a concession to the late Steve Jobs’ insistence that a more open multimedia browsing standard like HTML 5 was a much better fit for the explosion of Internet-connected mobile devices that Apple and others have brought to the market in recent years.
That may have been a victory of sorts, but as the people behind Occupy Flash noted, Adobe still insists on promoting Flash as a desktop browsing technology, even as partners like Research in Motion continue to prop up the ghost of mobile Flash as if their lives depend on it (and in RIM’s case, it might).
With lingering doubts over the actual demise of Flash like that, Occupy Flash has stepped into the breach with an ambitious goal: "To get the world to uninstall the Flash Player plug-in from their desktop browsers."

Today in Minnesota, about 60% of small businesses don’t have a website, missing the chance to promote and sell their products and services online. Simply choosing a URL and putting up a placeholder are only the first steps. It’s necessary to put up a polished, professional site that reflects the attitude and reach of the company to create and maintain a site that will draw visitors. Following are some tips for choosing a website designer of developer that will work with you and for you:
1. Creat a plan
Part of the shopping process for a designer/developer will involve clearly describing what’s needed for a website. You need a clear plan as to what you want your website to do. The more prepared you are before you start the process, the faster it’ll go to get your site up.
2. Designer or developer?
Although both designers and developers do website work, they’re not necessarily interchangeable. A designer will often have some developer skills, and vice versa, but it’s important to know which would be a good fit for what you want.
3. Get references
Some design/development companies put their names at the bottom of the sites they create, so one way to discover local talent might be to look at sites that seem close to what you want and see who built them.
4. Find examples
A designer can use these sites as reference points when starting a project, and having examples of what you like saves time and therefore may lower cost. The cost will vary widely depending on what’s desired.
5. Switch if necessary
If a designer of developer isn’s working out, then it might be time to scrap the project and find another professional.
6. Get comfortable
Generally, find a designer of developer who instills a level of comfort. A professional website still creates a very personal emotional attachment, especially to a small business owner.
