Chinese School Website built with DedeCMS

Recently, Techome received a web development outsourcing project from Lost Angeles, United States. The client was the headmaster of a local private Chinese school. The headmaster wanted an educational website to promote their school service.

Requirements:

The headmaster requested Techome web developers to create the site both in Chinese and English languages. The Chinese version and the English version should have uniformed themes. The headmaster wanted a small intranet portal for instructors and students. Of course, there should be a administrative module that can change the permission and access level of the website. The website should be easy to maintenance by the students and the instructors.

Achievements:

Techome web development team decided to use the PHP content management system for this website. The open source DedeCMS was selected as the content management system because the backend management system was written in Chinese. Students can practice reading Chinese by using this content management system.

Techome web developers modified the CMS so there is a permission level module. For the intranet porter, we created class folders so that instructors can share important information and students can submit their homework online. In addition, the web developers limited access view of the class folder, so that only people from the school with a login can access the information.

Aside creating simple intranet portal, Techome also taught the school headmaster about search engine optimization. Techome informed the headmaster about various DedeCMS functionality to support and promote this website.
