JAVA Travel Website Development

The client company is Sino-German joint venture company located in Beijing, and its headquarters in Hamburg and Munich. The client operates international travel itineraries across the world. The aim of the project was to establish a large-scaled portal website which can show large number of travel itineraries, hotels and flight tickets information to their customers.

The website contained two parts. One part is the website functionalities, which can be viewed by customers, included new products display area, products search, news, itineraries booking system, forum, map, etc. The second part is designed and developed for website administrators, for example, Web Content Management (CMS) system, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Knowledge Management (KM) system, etc. Considering the structure design and development of administrator’s management system, our development team chose JAVA to develop website and website management systems. The website database is designed and developed by Oracle.

Because the website’s main visitors are in China and Western countries, so the style of website combined with Chinese and Western elements. The theme color is plain but the whole style is fashion-forward, visitors will find that the website is quite eye catch. Because the website offers lots of travel information, so the website should be designed display as much information as possible at the design stage. Also, the website should be user friendly and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) friendly, easy navigate, easy to catch information, key points should be outstanding.
