LAMP Mail Server Web System Development
[Due to the Information Protection Policy, we do not publish our business partner name and project details.]
Our client was a medium size European consulting company that specializes in providing project coordination and management services between offshore vendors and local buyers. The client wanted to develop an e-mail system which can provide smooth communication among buyers, vendors and our client on a per project basis. The client will act as the third party to provide privacy and protects for both buyers and vendors. Buyers and vendors should be able to communicate without sharing too much personal contact information.
Our dedicated web developers thoroughly analyzed the specification and complied with RUP to develop the system. The system could be easily administrated via two configuration files. To finish our project, our web engineers adopted the popular open source web platform, LAMP (Linux + Apache + MySQL+ PHP), and visual SourceSafe, Rational rose. In addition, our team implemented automatic privilege set for the vender, buyers, and the client through the mail system. The privilege setting of the communication on a particular project should be available and the test work must be implemented on the client's server. E-mails must be pre-processed before being sent. A copy of each e-mail sent is associated with their project which could be archived and categorized under the same project folder. As a result, the email system could mask personal contact information and adjust permission levels for the buyers and vendors.
