Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements. ----definition from PMI

 

We deeply understand that under different type of business models, the focus points of the project management not consistent. The reason is that different model serves different clients. Therefore, we apply different project management models and processes under different business models.

 

We are very familiar with PMI theories, and 9 major areas of PMI: Project integration, project scope, project time, project cost, project quality, project human resource, project communication, project risk, project procurement; additionally, the 5 parts of processes: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing, which as our management framework.

Key Person Management

 

In our HR management, we are very value the key person management. Key person may be the project manager, may be a bridge engineer, and may also be a key architect. In summary, based on different project requirements, the project must exist in one or a few key person. A qualified key person has the important impact on a project’s success.

 

Client Transparency

 

In the Communication management, we seek to provide more transparency projects. On the one hand, we stress and require customers to participate in the project, it is the responsibility of the Client, which also affects the success of the project. On the other hand, we provide project information to clients frequently, get more customer feedback accordingly, thus the project risks can be reduced.

 

Project Risk

 

Project risks need to be borne by both sides. Our attitude towards risk is not avoided, and courage to face risks. But we stress that customers have to afford the risks with us.

 

In addition, there are some key points need to be focused during the offshore software development:

 

- Regular Meeting

Daily meeting or the weekly meeting is very important in the offshore project, these periodic meetings is the best method to avoid a completely communication lack.

 

- Communication tools

Take as many communication tools as possible, such as IM, EMAIL, VIDEO, AUDIO, PHONE and other ways of communication.

 

- Time difference

Manage the time difference, and take the advantage of time difference, to ensure the effective conduct of work and communication.

 

- Security Management

Since the Geographic reason, clients cannot monitor every activity of project team; therefore, how to take the necessary measures to ensure information security is a key point for offshore projects. Our documented processes can guarantee the information security; we will define the security methods with clients together at the early stage of project.

 

- Onsite work

In a large project, the key person could be offered the opportunity to work in client’s site as much as possible, in order to increase communication and harmony.
