Web Development with Drupal

The web development project is built using the open source content management system, Drupal. This content management system can run on most of systems and databases that support PHP. Drupal has modular structure and behaves much more like a web application framework. The client was the pre-sales and marketing department of an international textile company. The entire department used a static website to inform their customers with latest news, changes, and exchange standards. However, the client wanted more features to simplify work processes and make the website more customer-oriented.

Feature 1: Counter

The client wanted a dynamic counter which keep track of how many people visited the site and from which region, so that it is easier localize and internationalize the website.

TecHome web design and web development team created customized dynamic counter as a plug-in.

Feature 2: Restrictions

The visitors should have different permission levels. For example, VIP customers should be able to see more personalized information than guest visitors.

After setting up the basic theme and fundamental structure for the website, the web design team also taught the client on how to operate this content management system to set the permission levels for visitors and contents.

Feature 3: Sharing Center

The client also wanted a sharing center where they can post all of their workflow and process charts in different languages.

The web development team added a customized module so that the department can share information regarding workflow and processes charts in different language.
